Leavell Up Membership FAQ

Movement should feel good!

The Leavell Up Fitness Membership is an inclusive fitness space that strives to help people feel connected to their bodies and part of a movement community.

Welcome to leavell up Fitness

Who should join membership?

It is my intention to make this membership as inclusive as possible. We have live and recorded classes so classes can be done at your convenience. All classes involve a standing element and time on the floor, however, we are open to any and all modifications that best serve you. If you are looking for a space to move your body in a way that makes YOU feel strong and connected, this is the place for you!

Will you still be offering single classes?

All of my regularly scheduled classes will become membership based only. Some special event classes will be open to members and non-members, but there will be no set schedule for those. Sign up for the email list to stay in the loop about upcoming classes.

What is included in the membership?

4 Live Workouts a week + recordings if you need them later

  • Recordings will stay live for about 2 weeks and then be updated!

Special guest instructors and educators

  • Recordings will live in archives for up to 60 days

How much is the membership?

Just like my classes, there is a scale. It is a pay what YOU can!

The basic monthly membership is $39.99 for access to everything!

There is an option at $59.99 that helps to support the scholarship fund for members

There are scholarships available that can cover all or partial payment. Membership is month to month and sign up fees are non-refundable.

Do I need to start on the 1st of the month?

Nope! You can literally sign up whenever you want and that will be your billing date. Once you are a member, you can edit all your billing information if need be.

Are there any contracts?

No contracts. You can start and stop your membership at any time!

What about Scholarships?

There are a limited number of full and partial scholarships to Leavell Up Fitness. To apply for one, fill out the scholarship application. Scholarship applicants are considered on a rolling basis. Before applying for a scholarship, please consider joining one of our Open Barre Classes to make sure this space is a good fit for you!

What equipment do I need for class?

While equipment is an added bonus for our workouts, almost every single move can be modified to work without additional equipment.

For Recess and Stretch classes, you need nothing but your body and a comfortable place to come down to the floor

For Barre class, I ask that people have a soft spot to come down to the floor or a yoga mat, light weights (1-4lbs) if you have them, and a stable “barre” like a chair, counter, ironing board, or banister.

For Strength 45, some weights are ideal (up 20 lbs if you have them) , a yoga mat or soft spot on the floor, and resistance bands.

What should I wear?

Whatever you want. If you want to take class in your pajamas or a ball gown, this is the membership for you! Barre is typically done with grippy socks or barefoot. HIIT and Boot Camp can be done with shoes for extra support.

How much space do I need?

Not a ton. I started teaching these classes in my bedroom of a one bedroom apartment. If you have a yoga mat, that's pretty much as much space as you need. Enough that you can bring your arms out to the side or for the occasional jumping jack.

Do I need experience to join?

No!  You do not need any experience to join. Everyone’s fitness level is different and I plan my classes with variations and modifications. All of our classes involve standing at times and coming down to the floor. Variations for floor work can be discussed.

Are these workouts safe for me?

One of the most common questions I get is “is this workout safe for me?”. The answer is, “it depends”. Because this is a group fitness and virtual setting, it is up to you as an individual to determine if these workouts are right for you now. Whether you are pregnant, postpartum , recovering from a surgery or an injury, it is important to confirm with your doctor or medical team before starting a new routine.

Do I need to have my camera on?

No. I will be on camera but you do not need to be. Classes are through zoom so while there is an option to turn your camera on, you can also leave it off. However, I do love to see folks to help suggest modifications and cheer you on.

How long are the classes?

Recess (HIIT) class is 30 minutes including warm up and cool down. All the rest are typically around 45 minutes!

What is the class schedule?

The current live class schedule will be as follows with additional pop-up’s throughout the month!

Sunday, Barre 11:00 AM EST

Tuesday, Cardio Barre 7:00 PM EST

Thursday, Strength 45 8:00 AM EST

Friday,  Recess 12:30 PM EST
