Yoga and Mental Health

Firstly, I wanted to state that I am not a Certified Yoga Teacher. However, you do not need to be a yoga teacher or even a dedicated “yogi” to find the benefits of this movement practice.

Yoga is much less about a form of exercise and much more about connecting your body and your breath. Yoga is often done before meditation as a way for preparing the body for stillness and introspection.

We live in a crazy world with a lot of stressors, big and small. Check out my feature in a Yoga Journal post on using yoga and movement for mental health!
