I am not waiting any longer

I am not waiting until I am ready.

I am not going to wait until the weather is perfect. I am not going to wait until my hair is detangled or my belly is smaller. I am not going to wait until I have a studio, or ring lights, or a backdrop, or a better camera.

I AM NOT WAITING.

This was the theme of my last walk & talk with my friend Danielle Mercurio.  ✨ We are both very fiery signs and we tend to just go for it. But we both acknowledge where there were times we absolutely did not just go for it. And the common theme was, those times we planned and planned and planned were never as fruitful as the times we just publicly stumbled though it or fell on our asses.🙃

I know that when I don’t go for it, it is usually because I am letting outside factors hold me back. This summer, I promised myself and so many of you access to pre-recorded / recorded classes. And although summer is not officially over, you did not get to access those. That’s because I was afraid. I was afraid you would not like me on video. I was afraid I wouldn’t like me on video. I was afraid that the quality would not be good enough for you. Or the music would not be clear enough. Or that the video would lag.

The truth is, I held myself back.

But I am over that now. And I am moving forward with big things that I hope you will come along for.

And I hope if you are reading this and have something you have been putting off, whether it is big or small, you take a deeeep look at what is actually holding you back. Fear of judgement? Fear of failure?

Remember:

You’re holding back magic. You’re stalling greatness. You’re depriving yourself and the people who you could be serving. UGHHHHH

So if this message is for you, you will know it. You may feel a little indignant. You may feel like you need to defend why you’re waiting. That’s ok. And maybe, this will inspire you to do it. It will inspire you to do it wrong and messy and disorganized. Because in the wise words of outkast, “You can plan a pretty picnic but you can’t predict the weather”

Show up. Get rained on. Fall down. Learn on the job. Come back better prepared.
